Gather's Founder, Emma Lindsey, is an award-winning journalist and Britain's first black woman sportswriter for a national newspaper. 
 

She worked as a senior Staff Feature writer for The Observer and has also been a freelance contributor for The Times, The Guardian, Independent on Sunday, Daily  Mirror and Red magazine. Emma Lindsey is an author and Creative writing teacher, who runs bespoke Creative writing  courses and workshops in Fiction, Non-fiction and Memoir.  She will be teaching at Brunel University in April 2025 as part of a Benjamin Zephaniah Festival weekend.
